Scottish actor and producer Sir Thomas Sean Connery died at the age of 90 in Nassau, The Bahamas.
He was best known as the James Bond in starring in seven bond films.
He was born in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh, Scotland, on 25 August 1930.
He was named Thomas after his grandfather.
His mother Euphemia McLean was a cleaning woman and his father Joseph Connery was a factory worker and a lorry driver.
Sean Connery also had a younger brother named Neil.
His family was so poor that he had to sleep in the bottom drawer of his parent’s dresses.
To support his family financial needs he started working as a milkman at the age of nine and he left the school at the age of thirteen.
Connery also served in British Royal Navy in 1946 with the rank of able seaman but he was medically discharged after three years and he has to quit his military career in 1949.

Sean Connery met Michael Caine at a party during the production of South Pacific in 1954 and became a close friend with him and with so long time he developed an interest in acting and started in Oxford Theatre.
Sean Connery started his acting career working in small theatres and television production houses until he got his greatest role as British secret agent James Bond which gained mass International popularity.

Sean Connery was polled in a 2004 Sunday Herald as “The Greatest Living Scot” he was also surveyed as “Scotland’s Greatest Living National Treasure” in 2011.
He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1989 and the “Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999.
Connery died sleeping on 31 October 2020, at the age of 90, at his home in Lyford Cay community of Nassau in the Bahamas.
His death was announced by his family and Eon Productions.
His son Jason said he “had been unwell for some time”.
