Masashi Kishimoto is a Japanese manga artist best known for his worldwide popular series Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, and Boruto.
He was born on 8 November 1974 in Nagi, Okayama, Japan.
His best-known work Naruto was in serialization from 1999 to 2014 and has sold over 250 million copies worldwide in 46 countries as of May 2019.
He was a manga and anime lover from his childhood, Akira Toriyama and Katsuhiro Otomo was his biggest inspiration.
As a result, Kishimoto spent several years writing his own shōnen manga for the weekly jump magazine.
The early life of Masashi Kishimoto
Masashi Kishimoto was born
on 8 November 1974 in Nagi, Okayama, Japan.
During his childhood, he was passionate about drawing his favorite anime characters like Doraemon, Dr. Slump.
Following his interest, he was very much inspired as well as idolized by Akira Toriyama who was the original creator of Dragon Ball Z manga and series while he couldn’t afford to buy Weekly Shōnen Jump Dragon Ball Z he was thankful to his friend from school who has subscribed to the magazine and shared with him.
During his last year of college at the Kyushu Sangyo University, he started spending time drawing manga, he also went to an art college hoping that he could become a manga artist.
After trying some small comics he started participating in manga contests.
After some time, he noticed that his work was similar to seinen manga (aiming for adults) rather than shōnen manga (for children)
Kishimoto’s first successful manga project was Karakuri (Mechanism) in 1995 and for this, he was nominated in Shueisha’s monthly “Hop Step Award” in 1996, granted to promising rookie manga artists.
In September 1999 the serialized version of Naruto premiered in Weekly Shōnen Jump 1999 No. 43 and quickly became a hit.
Naruto was a 16+ rated worldwide superhit series, which was loved and heartly remembered by the world till now.
Naruto is the story of an orphan boy of the village hidden in the leaves named Naruto Uzumaki who lost his parents in a massacre created by the Monster named Kurama a nine-tailed fox and the Hokage (leader) of the hidden leaf village sacrificed his life and his wife’s life to save the village and sealed the nine-tailed fox inside his son Naruto.
The third Hokage of the village somewhat took care of Naruto in his childhood.
Naruto was highly disrespected and hated in his village because he was carrying nine-tailed fox inside him and to get his respect back he set a dream of becoming a great Hokage and keep working hard, with continuous hard work and efforts he slowly came to gain respect with time and he became a hero of the hidden leaf village too.
With time he gained so much respect that he became a sign of hope in the 4th great ninja war as well as a hero of the war.
His teachers were Iruka, Kakashi, and the legendary sanin Jiraiya.
I believe this story is one of the most inspirational stories in the world which teaches us the real value of love, self-respect, and good friends.
This world popular series started named Naruto continued as Naruto Shippuden and still going on as Boruto: The Next Generation.
Masashi Kishimoto also won “Quill Award for Graphic novel” for the Naruto series in 2006 and “Rookie of the Year” in 2015.
His younger twin brother, Seishi Kishimoto, is also a manga artist and creator of the manga series 666 Satan and Blazer Drive. During the publication of Naruto, Kishimoto married and also became a father afterward.
