Actor Imran Khan quits acting career and planning to be a director

On 18th November 2020, Bollywood actor Imran Khan who is known for his great films like “Katti Batti” opposite Kangana Ranaut which was released in 2015, and “Jane Tu Ya Jane Na” released in 2008 he made his impressive debut in this film, which was directed by Abbas Tyrewala and produced by Aamir Khan, who is also Imran’s maternal uncle, Afterwards its been 5 years Imran Khan hasn’t seen in the role in movies.

However, Back in 2018, Imran Khan made his directional debut in a short film titled “Mission Mars: Keep Walking India”. Now as per the latest report from DNA India, Imran Khan’s best friend has said many things including his interest in a careers, some of them are as follows

What did Imran Khan’s best friend said?




Akshay Oberoi was his closest friend in the film industry. Imran revealed two of them were best friends for the past 18 years and Akshay said: Imran is my closest friend, whom I can get up at 4 am and call Akshay has given the final conformity. In Navbharat times Akshay Oberoi said, “My best friend who is no longer an actor because he has quitted acting”.


Akshay Oberoi also said ” My best friend Imran was not so much fond of acting. As far as I know, there is a better director and writer inside him, I don’t know when he will direct his film himself, I am not going to put any kind of pressure on him, but as a friend, I also think he should direct his film very soon.


Also, when Imran directs, I know his work will be very good because of his sensibility and understanding of cinema which is very high.
So according to his best friend’s opinion, what Imran made was a great decision for him.



Other works of Imran Khan



Besides acting in films and direction Imran Khan was also a social activist. He often used to say about Indian issues related to Society and youth, his spoken words were related to eliminating violence against women, political awareness, and sex education.

In 2009, he participated in Eve Ensler’s play “The Vagina Monologues” in celebration of completing 200 shows. The event was a fundraiser whose beneficiaries included Haseena Hussein a girl who was blinded and received an acid attack in 1999 in Bangalore.


In 2010 Khan endorses People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) with his dog, Tony, urging people to adopt stray dogs instead of buying purebred animals. Khan filmed a second advertisement in 2011, titled “Tony Changed My Life. You Can Change a Homeless Dog’s Life. Please Adopt”, after Tony died in which he continued to advocate for the adoption of animals and not treating them as fashion statements.

In 2011, Imran Khan with his brother in law, Vedant Malik opposed Maharashtra’s state government to raise drinking age by 25. In an interview given to The Times of India he said; “It’s completely unfair to expect that one has to wait till 25 years to exercise his freedom of choice regarding one’s lifestyle.



In December 2013, Imran Khan along with famed family group All India Bakchod head up against the recently reinstated ban on gay sex. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Khan said: “I’ve always been involved with gay rights. 



In 2014, he joined other Bollywood and international celebrities in the TeachAIDS initiative, a state-of-the-art approach to worldwide HIV prevention, developed at Stanford University.



In 2009 Imran Khan became a columnist for Hindustan Times in which he refused to promote alcohol and tobacco products. He said he will only promote a product he can relate to. He has endorsed several products like Coca-Cola, Levis, MTS India, Maaza, Bru and Lux, having appeared in television and print advertisements.
